Boston, MA- The Pine Manor Gators have now lost four straight after being swept in a tri-match yesterday by Daniel Webster College and Suffolk University at Suffolk University.
The Gators lost 3-0 in their first match of the day versus Daniel Webster. DWC won the first set 25-14 and never took their foot off the gas the rest of the match. The Gators struggled on the attack most of game one as they hit -.052.
Game two saw the Gators play with some energy early going up 1-0 in the match after a 25-22 victory. The Gators hit .133 in the first set. The tables quickly turned as the host Rams asserted themselves winning game two 25-9.
The Gators battled hard in game three and it was tight throughout; until a Suffolk run gave them a 25-22 in a pivotal set that swung the momentum and eventually the match the Rams way. The Rams would go on to win 3-1; despite a stronger effort by Pine Manor.
Keisha Hadorn had a team-high 7 kills for the Gators, Whiteshield again led the team in assists with 18 and Leon had 17 digs. Pine Manor falls to 2-8 with the loss.
Pine Manor won't have to wait long for revenge as they see Suffolk next Saturday in a tri-match at Curry College at 1:00PM.
