Pine Manor Women's Soccer Starts Quickly With 5-1 Victory

Chestnut Hill, Mass. – The Pine Gators started the season with a 5-1 victory over The Daniel Webster Eagles. The day was highlighted by freshman Cassie Cavender (Clarksville, TN) who scored four goals in her first ever collegiate game while senior captain Elizabeth Anderson (Stow, MA) connected from 17 feet for her first goal of the young season leading the gators to 1-0 record. Amanda Dargie (Melbourne, FL) was able to score the lone goal for the visting Eagles as they drop to 0-1 on the season.

The Gators outshot the Eagles 17-10 while Stephanie Evans (Washington, Iowa) saved 6 shots for the visitors while Charley Lutz (Alexander City, AL) also saved six shots for the Gators.

Daniel Webster will look to bounce back while traveling to Mass. Maritime on September 6th to take on the Buccaneers with a 3:30 PM. kickoff. Pine Manor will have a week off as they host the first game of a doubleheader against Bay Path University on September 10th with a 12:00 PM. start.
