Lady Gators Drop Tough Home Game

Chestnut Hill, Mass. – The Lady Gators were led by senior guard Alexis Lee who finished the game with 19 points along with 6 assists. The contest started off close as each team started the game with quick offense to inspire the fast pace play, at the end of the first quarter the Gators trailed by six but it was the second the quarter that pushed the thoroughbreds to a commanding lead which saw them end the half on a 19-5 run which made their lead swell to 15 at the break.

Skidmore remained steady the rest of the contest and were able to respond to every attempted run by the Lady Gators. The earlier run that the thoroughbreds went on was sustained as they finished the game off with a balanced defensive effort and were led offensively by Kelly Donnelly who finished with a double-double notching 14 points and 12 rebounds, Veronica Moceri finished with 13 while two key reserves Kayla Mitchell and Taylor Ong netted 11 apiece.

Pine Manor saw four ladies get into the double digit scoring column while Lee notches the game high, Sybil Lynch contributed 16 points on a 4-11 effort from deep, Anastasia Walker totaled a season high 14 points on a solid 6-8 shooting performance while Erica Jones filled the stat sheet with 12 points, 9 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 assists.

The lady Gators now fall to 1-3 on the young season with their next contest against Ava Maria Saturday with a 1:00 P.M. tip-off at Brunielli Court.
