Corrales leads Surging Gators to fourth straight win!

Newton, MA -- The Newbury College Nighthawks dropped a 4-1 decision to Pine Manor College in non-conference action Tuesday afternoon on the campus of Pine Manor. With the loss, the Nighthawks fall to 4-11 (2-2 NECC) on the season.

Jose Corrales (El Paso, Texas) continued his great play and increased his scoring streak to four consecutive games with two goals for the Gators. 

Cesar Garcia(El Paso, Texas) added a goal off an assist from Jahvar Gayle(Bloomfield, Conn) and Alan Zamora(El Paso, Texas) rounded out the Gators attack with a fantastic header off a beautiful corner kick from Kelvin Chico(Perth Amboy, N.J.).

Angel Pena(Eagle Pass, Texas) earned his fifth win of the season behind stellar defensive play.

Sophomore Nilton De Andrade (Boston, MA) scored the lone goal for the Nighthawks in the 88th minute despite Newbury managing just two shots on goal, five shots overall. 

In net junior, Jarrod Smith took the loss in 45 minutes of action. Smith gave up two goals on two shots on goal. Sophomore Chris Tran played the final 45 minutes, making one save while allowing two goals.
