Men's Soccer Lose Heartbreaker To Eastern Nazarene

CHESTNUT HILL, MASS – The hard fought battle between Pine Manor and Eastern Nazarene was a contested battle all the way until the final buzzer. With ten minutes remaining in the game Luis Lopez connected on the eventual game winning goal for the lions with the assist from David Eddings.

 

The first half started off evenly with both teams playing great defense which ended with Eastern Nazarene taking 2 more shots than Pine Manor 7-5 but connected on the only goal in the first period with Lopez's first goal of the game giving the Lions a 1-0 lead heading into halftime.

 

The second half was another defensive contest but the at 61:00 mark Jahvar Gayle got tackled in the box by a lion's player and then converted on the penalty shot tying the 1-1 until Lopez hit the go head game winning goal.

 

Eastern Nazarene improves to 7-5 on the year with their next game on October 10th against at Gordon with kickoff at 3:30 PM.

 

Pine Manor now drops to 7-3-1 with their next game Wednesday October 7th at Lesley.
